Commander Dex Cortasis
Backstory
Commander of the Excavator, Dex Cortasis is no stranger to combat or crisis. He served for the Anobis Starfighter Command 7-A6 (The Fighting Nobles as they were known) in several different wars against the rebel factions found on Anobis before the unification of the Planet 12 years ago.
Dex is a born leader, strong, intelligent and always willing to heed the word of others. A capable Pilot, Dex has no issue with flying the large frigate himself, but also can fly a one-man fighter with a nimble adeptness himself.
A charismatic leader, his relationship with Dius Arkar has gone back many years since the war and the two have a storied past together. After retirement, Dex came back to pilot the Excavator and assist Dius Arkar with many of the important excavations in the early going. Over the past few years however, Dex and Dius have hardly spoken – ever since Dius Arkar’s commission of his new Starship that is mostly captained with Droid Commanders in lieu of the human element.
